This winter season, Ian our Chief Pilot set up a passenger ride business for Eastern Safari’s (Balloons over Bagan) in Inle Lake Myanmar.
Inle Lake is a very popular tourist area and home to the Inthar People, the lake is vast and has the largest floating gardens in the world, Ian was priviledged to be able to fly over the Lake every day, which is surrounded by the beautiful Shan Mountains. Balloons over Inle is now fully operational, thanks to Ian, and you can visit the facebook page Balloons over Inle to see some of the stunning photo’s.
While there and due to the fact that each flight is over the huge lake, Ian had a raft built just in case of a potential landing on water. Ian or any other pilot would be able to land on the raft and then be twoed slowly into shore in order to deflate the balloon safely. Ian then made it a habit to land temporarily on the raft every flight to add to the excitement of what is without doubt one of the most exciting and beautiful balloon flights you could ever make.
