Flying Enterprises were chosen by Belfast City Council to organise and direct a Night Glow and Balloon Event to link around the Tall Ships Races taking place there. As usual Flying Enterprises put together a great event attended by some excellent pilots and teams for the Mainland, Southern Ireland and the Belfast area.
Everything started on Thursday 2nd July, with some windy but very prominent tethering by many of the teams present, including the Cameron demonstrator balloon, Piloted by Nick Dunnington, CTS with Andy Collett, the Datum Pro balloon with Chris Freeman, fishtank with Ian Martin and also Paul Dopson and Robin Mercer from Hillmount Garden Centre. The BBC One Show came over and the fishtank balloon was chosen to give Dan Snow and the film crew a tether to see the Tall Ships from a better vantage point.
The balloons were situated next to the iconic Titanic Exhibition and Slipway, right in the centre of the City and harbour areas and were surrounded by magnificent Tall Ships from around the world.
